Red Rocks are an amazing natural formation of vertical set of red limestone rising from the sea. Once a popular local lobster fishing spot, now a famous tourist attraction accessible only by boat.
Spend a day on a speedboat exploring the southern bays of Hvar island. Driving along the lighthouse island Pokojni dolac, first we visit gorgeous bay of Milna, only a couple of minutes driving distance from the city of Hvar.
Next stop is a small cove of Zaraće, providing emerald coloured waters naturally sheltered from the south wind with a long single rock formation which the locals refer to as the ”Tooth od Zaraće”.
After that we hop to Dubovica bay, astonishing example of how 18th century Hvar town aristocracy enjoyed the natural beauties and resources at the time. Just around the corner thre are Red rocks, a formation carved by the forces of nature and painted by the laws of physics.
Final exploring stop is at Sveta Nedjelja, where strong hearted can do a cliff jump from a 15 meters high stone supported bridge. If you don’t crave for adrenalin, but maybe something more sophisticated, we can arrange a wine tasting tour in the underwater cellar of Bilo Idro. Here you can try what steep sunny Hvar vineyards have to offer.
On our way back, there is time reserved for one last stop. By that time some of you might be getting hungry, and the others may just want to relax and go for a swim in one of the bays.
Luckily, the beauty of so many sheltered bays is that some of them hide more then a swimming spot. We will take you to a small bay with delicious restaurant of your choice. Depending on the group preferences, you will choose between five options, all of them being approx. 10 minutes away from Hvar town.
